Rockin’ in the Rockies: JAS Labor Day Experience

The JAS (Jazz Aspen/Snowmass) Labor Day Experience descends upon Snowmass Town Park each year with a blockbuster lineup of artists from every music genre. The 2024 lineup includes 10-time GRAMMY winner Brandi Carlile, 17-time GRAMMY-winning icon Sting and country superstar Tim McGraw. Past performers have included Keith Urban, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer and Gwen Stefani.

This three-day, open-air festival features two stages and the JAS Village, where attendees can find food, crafts and merchandise, and a kid’s corner. Exclusive VIP experiences are also available. The music begins in the late afternoon each day, giving festival fans a chance to spend the day doing a little fishing or rafting nearby, playing a round of relaxing golf, or enjoying some retail therapy at area shops before they head to the park.

See Ballons Soaring the Sky

The Snowmass Balloon Festival lights up the Colorado skies every September with the highest altitude balloon event in the country. During the three-day event, dozens of pilots gather to compete in various hot-air balloon challenges. The highlight of the weekend is the balloon glow, a picturesque sight as the participating balloons are illuminated against the backdrop of the Snowmass sunset.

It's Not Their First Rodeo: They’ve Been Doing It For 50 Years.

Giddy up and head for the Snowmass Rodeo and watch traditional rodeo events such as bull riding, team roping, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and more. The rodeo is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024 with a barbecue at 5 p.m. and rodeo events at 7 p.m. each Wednesday night from June through August. It’s real Cowboy culture, Colorado-style.
