There are always new activities, restaurants, and things to do on Maui as new businesses pop up across the island. We have organized a list of fun places to try on Maui in 2025 that even the annual returning visitor that thinks they have seen it all will appreciate!
Valley Alley:
Launched in November 2024, the kids will love experiencing the new Westin Maui Resort & Spa 10,000 square foot arcade center. You do not have to be a guest of the resort to experience this new hot spot. Featuring duckpin bowling (miniature bowling), golf simulators, air hockey, and dozens of your favorite arcade games, both children and adults won’t want to leave. A full bar and lounge offer tasty bites and drinks.
Coco Deck Lahaina, Kitchen + Bar:
Led by local Chef Alvin Savella, who previously ran the successful Duckine (which won the Maui No Ka Oi ‘Aipono Award for 2023 Best New Restaurant), Coco Deck Lahaina blends Mexican, local, seafood & American flavors into their menu selections. In addition to mouthwatering food, enjoy unique tropical cocktails and a beautiful oceanfront setting.
Havens Harborside Fish & Chophouse:
Open daily from 11am to 9pm, this newly-opened restaurant sits in an unbelievable oceanfront location overlooking Ma’alaea harbor. With menu items like poke bowls, smash burgers, and fish tacos, there is something on the menu the whole family will enjoy. Plan a snorkel cruise or whale watch out of Ma’alaea and end the excursion with a bite or drink at this new Maui restaurant that opened in the fall of 2024.
The Parlay Maui:
If looking for a great place to catch your favorite sports team on television, head to Wailuku and experience The Parlay Maui. An old garage has been beautifully renovated into a hip sports lounge complete with both indoor and outdoor seating. A fun cocktail menu pairs nicely with a menu of finger foods like smash burgers, tater tots, and chicken wings.
Devine Wine Bar:
Recently opened in January of 2025, Devine Wine Bar located in Kihei’s Azeka Mall offers a relaxed haven for sampling top wines and appetizers while socializing with friends and family. The lounge features comfortable couches, soft jazz music in the background, and chic purple décor throughout. Select from a list of charcuterie boards to enjoy.
Cool Cat Cafe Kihei:
For those that have visited Lahaina in the past, you may remember Cool Cat Café, a popular burger joint that overlooked the famous Lahaina banyan tree. After decades in Lahaina, the beloved Maui restaurant has relocated to the south shore of Kihei. Choose from a long list of burger options, milkshakes, and fires.
Koast:
Head to Wailea Village, just a short walk up from the Shops at Wailea, to experience some of south Maui’s newest dining options like Kohala Brewery, 1111 Nikkei Sushi, and Koast Maui. Celebrating their grand opening in January, 2025, Koast celebrates local ingredients and island culture through menu items like charred sweet potato, coffee roasted carrots, and whole roasted kona kanpachi.
1111 Nikkei Sushi:
Wailea’s newest sushi spot can be found on the ground floor of Wailea Village. Sit at the sushi bar to watch your rolls be created by master sushi chefs or elect to sit at one of the stylish tables and select from a four-page menu offering a wide selection of non-sushi items like tacos, steak, burgers, chicken, and more.
